I was a finalist for this mural proposal. I used images of hip-hop, street, and modern dancers for the primarily African-American middle school, which I coordinated with the existing architecture. I was influenced by street dancer Little Buck, and hip-hop dancer Rennie Harris, both of whom rose from the inner city to become major players in the contemporary dance world.
